The Axis by TAVAT is a lightweight, low-profile frame defined by a sharp hexagonal silhouette and a 3mm metal construction. Handcrafted in Italy through more than 100 individual production steps, this design is built on the strength of observation and reflection—serving as a reminder to look at our surroundings slowly and evenly, without rushing toward the future.
We’ve customized this piece in our Wellington lab, installing premium light blue tinted lenses. This custom setup features a multi-layer, back-surface anti-reflective coating and full UV400 shield to neutralize glare while preserving a bright, high-contrast field of view that emphasizes clarity over dark tinting.

Styling Note: The contrast between the rigid, dark 3mm metal frame and the soft transparency of the light blue custom lenses creates a compelling look. It pairs naturally with clean architectural lines, monochrome tailoring, or elevated utility pieces.

- Fit Notes: A specialized small-to-medium fit. While the 39mm lens width keeps the optical profile tight and centered, the generous 27mm bridge and 132mm overall width ensure the frame sits securely and comfortably across the nose without squeezing the temples.
What’s Included: TAVAT’s signature protective case, an artisanal microfiber cleaning cloth, and a certificate of authenticity tracing its origin to the Italian Dolomites.

We use premium prescription Zeiss lenses with all the best coatings - Anti-Reflective, Anti-Scratch, UV, Hydrophobic/Oleophobic coatings (easier to clean). The prescription lenses and frames both come with a 2-year warranty.
