Founded in 2018 by streetwear veteran Chris Mart, AKILA was born out of a desire to break away from traditional optical models. Designed in Los Angeles, the independent label bridges contemporary subcultures, art, and architectural precision—crafting limited-run eyewear made to be worn every day.

By keeping production in small batches, utilizing plant-based acetates, and prototyping every frame in their LA R&D lab, AKILA combines eco-conscious materials with uncompromised design.
