Inspired by the bold and assertive glasses worn by Buddy Holly, the El Rey brings a new attitude to the classic cat eye by adding squared off details and sleek temple construction. Customized for sunny days at the Friends in Sight Eyewear Studio.
Frame Name Inspiration:
Originally constructed in 1936, the El Rey was an active single screen movie theatre for over 50+ years. After a brief detthe as a dance club called Wall Street in the ’80s the venue found its footing as a live music venue in the early ’90s and continues to delight audiences with its iconic Art Deco design and regal interior.

What kind of prescription lenses do you use?
We use premium prescription Zeiss lenses with all the best coatings - Anti-Reflective, Anti-Scratch, UV, Hydrophobic/Oleophobic coatings (easier to clean). The prescription lenses and frames both come with a 2-year warranty.
Can you tell me more about the brands?
We don’t believe in mass-produced fashion. Instead, we curate a selection of independent eyewear that you won’t find at a big-box store.
